Our history begins in Genoa in 1961, when four founding partners – Armando Queirolo, Antonio Taragoni, Massimo D’Aragona and Giuseppe Schnier – give life to the first company of Nolarma Group: Nolarma Noleggi & Armamento. From the very beginning, Nolarma stands out in the international market as dry cargo broker, maritime agent and ship manager.
Today, Nolarma is an independent shipbroking company with over 60 years of experience in the shipping industry. Thanks to our expertise, we have become a reference in the maritime market. Over the time, we have specialized to offer a full range of services, from brokerage to operations, from long-term projects to agency services, always ensuring maximum support to our clients.
Foundation
In 1972, Antonio Taragoni founded Nolarma tanker department. In 1978 Nolarma Tankers and Nolarma Dry Cargo became two independent companies with a clear division of activities.
September 15, 1980 marks a turning point for the Nolarma Group: as part of a corporate reorganisation, a limited liability company based in Genoa is established. This transformation leads to the final separation of Nolarma Dry Cargo, making it an autonomous reality. Such strategic choice allows the division to focus exclusively on the dry cargo shipping sector.
Specialization and Leadership
After the separation, Nolarma Dry Cargo is initially managed by Lucio D’Oria, together with Ugo Migone, Paolo Moro and Gabriele Baccaredda Boy. After the death of D’Oria, the leadership of the company remains in the hands of Migone and Moro, who continue the work of consolidation and growth of the company.
Specialized in the transport of dry goods, Nolarma Dry Cargo operates in the brokerage and logistics sector for raw materials such as minerals, coal, cereals and other types of dry cargo. Thanks to our experience and network of international contacts, we have established ourselves as trusted intermediaries between buyers and sellers, guaranteeing customized solutions for the efficient and economical transport of goods on global markets.
